I first met Linsey just before the sixth grade. Her family had moved into town and she was starting school as the new girl. We were fast friends instantly. It’s amazing to think that we’ve been friends now for twenty years – TWENTY! Wow, does that make me feel old. But it also makes me feel really grateful that I’ve known Linsey for most of my life.
I first met Bryan shortly after Linsey and I graduated from college. I remember thinking then that he was a really thoughtful and kind person. When I found out that Linsey and Bryan were engaged I was beyond excited for them both. Isn’t that what everyone wants for their friends? To marry someone thoughtful and kind, who is also just crazy smitten? One thing is for sure. These two are meant to be together. The way he looks at her. It’s love. Lots of love.
When Linsey asked me if I would consider photographing their wedding of course I said yes! The wedding took place in our hometown of Gig Harbor at the Canterwood Golf and Country Club. Bryan works at 7 Seas brewery with Linsey’s brother, so they brewed up an extra special single hop pale ale called Ball & Chain just for the event! And they had donuts instead of a cake. Donuts!
The morning of their wedding day it was pouring rain. We knew that it would be a great day rain or shine, but by the time we headed out for their first look it had stopped! What followed could only be described as the party of the year. Linsey and Bryan, I am so grateful that you found your way to each other. Thank you for trusting me to photograph your biggest of days, it truly was an honor. What a happy, happy wedding. Wishing you both a happy, happy life to follow!
