JASON & MEREDITH – bellevue wedding at robinswood house

It doesn’t take more than a few seconds of being around Meredith and Jason to see that these two are completely in love. The way that they look at each other kind of makes your heart melt. I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but it’s just true. They are also in love with life and it’s hard not to be happy when you’re around them. They are two truly beautiful people, inside and out, so I am thrilled that they chose me as their wedding photographer. Their wedding at Robinswood House in Bellevue was colorful, rustic, romantic and playful. It was also an amazingly good time! It made me so happy to see such a supportive group of friends and family around these two. Congratulations lovebirds! I’m so happy for you and know you will share a life filled with love together. I’m also glad we avoided starting any fires with our “special shot,” haha :).

I live on the backside of Robinswood Park and you have captured the specialness of both the park and the venue. When the kids were little, we use to spread a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner on the park side of the hedge and listen to all of the wonderful music that was played at the mystical weddings on the other side. Thank you for bringing back the memories!

NICK & CHRISTY – seattle wedding at the canal in ballard

Nick and Christy’s Ballard wedding was full of love and lots – tons! – of laughter. These two know how to have fun and truly bring out the best in each other. Nick constantly makes Christy laugh, and Christy’s laugh is completely contagious. Sounds like a perfect match to me! We lucked out with a rare hot and sunny day in Seattle for their wedding and we truly appreciate that around here! I cried when they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day and tried my best to hold it together through their sweet ceremony. We laughed, we cried, and most of all had an amazing time. Nick and Christy – I just love you two to pieces. Thank you so much for trusting me to document your wedding day, it was truly an honor and I can’t help but smile every time I think about it :).

Many thanks to the wonderful and talented team!

TROY & AMANDA – seattle engagement photographer

Amanda and Troy are getting married TODAY! Congratulations you two, it’s finally here!

It’s almost hard to believe that we photographed Troy and Amanda’s engagement session all the way back in May of 2011. That seems so long ago! So much has happened and changed since then, it’s really amazing. I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their wedding as well, it’s such an honor.

For their engagement session we decided on two quintessentially Seattle locations. I never get tired of finding new alleyways, stairwells and fun little hidden spots for great light and photographs in Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square. Back in my past life before I worked as a photographer full-time I used to work downtown and would walk to Pike Place for lunch, so it has lots of great memories for me. I can’t usually pass by without a hum bow from Mee Sum and a cookie from Le Panier. So delicious!

I am so fortunate that the most amazing clients find me. Amanda and Troy are such sweet and kind people, and they deserve so much happiness. Congratulations to you both! Wishing you a long and happy life together full of karaoke and fun :).

Special thanks to Swink Style Bar for doing such an expert job on Amanda’s hair and makeup. You are a talented bunch :).

MEREDITH & JASON – tacoma engagement photographer

Meredith and Jason decided to do their engagement session in a place that’s meaningful to them. Not only is Tacoma the place where they both grew up, it’s also where their first kiss happened. You may wonder why there are pictures of them in front of a garage below, but, hey, it’s not just any garage, it’s *the* garage where their actual first kiss happened. So cute :).

We had so much fun traipsing around Tacoma at Union Station and the Museum of Glass. Meredith and Jason are so in love it was just fun to be around. This is truly an awesome part of my job, all that love is just infectious and I love it. Thanks for being such a good time M&J :).

These two lovebirds were married on Saturday and had an amazingly beautiful wedding that I was honored to photograph for them. I’m beyond excited to show those photos, but in the meantime here are some from their Tacoma engagement session.

This is THE garage. Amazingness.

Meredith’s sister Rachel (also her MOH) was able to join us for some photos, aren’t they so cute?! And yessss – they think I’m funny :).

Meredith and Jason, I had such an awesome time at this session with you  - thank you for the honor and making my job so much fun :).

Cheers,
Aura
